Changes made in 2025 with help from student feedback

Two people talking.

Support for your learning

  • As part of the University Academic Advising system, new guidelines and resources for staff mean more points of contact to better support your progress and future.
  • Teams that support your learning and future employability are now based in more central locations, to make it easier to find support and contact teams when you need advice.

The organisation of your course

  • We have released timetables earlier this year to help you plan ahead.
  • We now run fewer modules in each term which means more time to explore topics in depth, and less bunching of deadlines.

Assessment and feedback

  • We now have final assessments each term when module content is fresh in your mind.
  • Module marks are now available after each term to help you see your progress and allow more time to act on feedback.

National Student Survey (NSS) for Final Year Undergraduates

How can I complete the survey?

You can complete the survey at any point now through 30 April 2026.

The survey is available at thestudentsurvey.com and takes about 10 minutes to complete

Why should I complete the survey?

Your ideas and feedback help shape Kent. We welcome your thoughts on all aspects of your experience. This is an opportunity to let us know what you think about the quality of teaching, academic and personal support and resources, so together we can continually improve the student experience.

As a "Thank You" for your feedback, all finalist undergraduate students will also be eligible to enter for a chance to win one of 15 prizes worth up to £100.

Student Voice Updates and Opportunities

Your Voice in Action – highlights of University changes made with help from student feedback

Student Voice Forums

Student Voice Forums give students on each programme the chance to share feedback, raise concerns, and suggest improvements to their learning experience.

Led by trained Student Representatives and supported by academic staff, the forums strengthen communication between students and staff and help improve academic life.

Meetings usually take place between weeks 4 and 8, with discussions recorded by the Student Experience Team.

Feedback and outcomes are shared with the University to help shape policies and enhance the student experience.

Kent Students' Union

Independent of the university, Kent Students' Union act as the voice of all Kent students. A students’ union is responsible for supporting you during your time at university and to make sure your voice is heard.

Student Advisory Boards

Build your CV, develop your skills, and help shape change.

Student Advisory Boards bring students together to advise on key topics alongside Kent Students’ Union and the University of Kent. Members help shape activities, improve student support and services, and influence University policies.

Participants earn Employability Points and are paid for their time. It’s a great opportunity to contribute to areas you care about while developing leadership and communication skills.
