Our School
Computing at Kent is at the forefront of technological innovation and computer science education. Our dynamic and inclusive community empowers students to excel in an ever-changing technological landscape. Students benefit from our well-equipped building with high-specification computing facilities, Hackspace, Biosensing laboratory and Cognitive Robotics laboratory. Students are supported by peer-led homework clubs and drop-in sessions that provide ready access to academic guidance.
Our teaching is firmly grounded in ongoing research, and this research-led approach, combined with our commitment to academic excellence and innovation, helps prepare our students for the evolving demands of the computing industry.

Postgraduate study
Our postgraduate taught programmes are split between our advanced level courses and conversion courses. Our advanced PGT courses are for students within the School to advance their knowledge and skills, whereas our conversion courses are for students with an undergraduate degree outside of Computing who want to begin their journey in Computer Science.

Our world-leading and internationally-excellent research addresses issues within the realms of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Robotics, Cyber Security and Programming Languages with emphases on real world applications from health to crime prevention.
