Learning and Assessment
- Clearer, fairer assessment and feedback – Marking criteria have been rewritten and aligned, with clearer guidance, visible marking processes, and improved feedback turnaround.
- A better balance of directed and independent study – Workshops require less preparation and focus on active, skills-based learning.
Organisation of your course
- Building on what you have learned – a review of modules and module content has helped create a course with more cumulative learning, building on your learning across modules and stages.
- A more focused course structure – First proposed by Kent Law School and now adopted as University-wide practice, studying two modules at a time supports deeper learning, clearer progression, and more time to reflect on feedback.
Developing the knowledge & skills for your future
- Stronger employability and critical thinking – now greater emphasis on real-world tasks, critical thinking, and small-group learning.
- Academic support – “Finishing Strongly” sessions bespoke to Law finalist students help you to navigate your final year and help you with future goals.
