Kent Students' Union runs a number of student-led networks where students who share an interest or an identity can gather to share ideas, build a community and make changes to their student experience. Student groups include LGBTQ+, BAME, Faith and Women's networks. See all Kent Student's Union networks.
From joining students groups and Student Voice Forums, to going to Kent Student's Union Officers and student reps there are many ways you can have your voice heard at Kent.
Kent Student's Union also run a number of projects including Black Student Voices, LGBTQIA+ Student Voices and International Student Voices.
The University also has the International Student Advisory Board (ISAB) to make sure international student voices are heard.
We've teamed up with current Black students and staff to put together a guide featuring local services for our Black students.
The idea emerged from a broader initiative to support underrepresented groups on campus, following a report by Unite Students that identified the challenges Black students faced in accessing culturally appropriate services.
This initiative reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, recognising that true support comes from understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by its students. By working closely with the Black student community, Kent has taken an important step towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
Report + Support is the University’s online reporting tool for incidents such as: sexual misconduct, discrimination, hate incidents, harassment, physical or verbal harm and/or abuse, bullying, stalking, domestic abuse, or spiking.
Through Report + Support you can get information about different types of incidents, submit a named or anonymous report and get access to support easily.
