We've listened to your feedback and exams will be done differently for 2025/26. Exams will be at the end of each term while course content is fresh in your mind, meaning you get more feedback as you go. This is part of wider changes to our academic year and module structure which will help make it easier for you to plan work, life and study.

(Exams will not take place on Sundays)
The 2024/25 exam period is now over and these pages are being updated with information for 2025/26 Exams.
If you are sitting exams at Kent, these pages have everything you need from what to expect to support and how to prepare for the different types of exams.
Students who may need Exam Adjustments for medical or mental health reasons should contact the Student Support and Wellbeing team at your campus as soon as possible. The deadline to apply for exam adjustments is 7 November 2025. Contact KentSSW@kent.ac.uk (Canterbury) or MedwaySSW@kent.ac.uk (Medway).
If you need to apply for exam adjustments for religious reasons you need to complete this Religious Observations Form by the deadline of 31 October 2025.

It can feel very upsetting and overwhelming if you don't pass, but you have options and we are here to help!

This is when you retake one or more exams or redo coursework.
There is a fee to resit or resubmit. If you cannot pay this fee due to financial hardship, please get in touch so we can discuss your options and financial support available.
This is when you ask the exam board to reconsider their decision. To appeal, you need to get in touch with your School within 7 calendar days of the release of your results. The Advice Service | Kent Students’ Union can support you with appeals.
This is when you redo the whole module or equivalent number of credits in the next academic year.
As long as the module isn’t compulsory, you could choose another module.
You would need to attend all lectures and seminars, and follow the full assessment requirements.

Sitting exams for anyone can be a stressful time as you try to balance preparation, study and nerves during exams. Student Support & Wellbeing (SSW) and the Skills for Academic Success (SAS) team have guidance for managing your wellbeing and information on how to study well during exams.
You can apply for adjusted exam arrangements using these links for religious observance or adjust your ILP, please be aware of the deadlines to apply.
Your School and Academic Advisors will provide you lots of resources to help you revise and the Skills for Academic Success (SAS) team have plenty of revision guides.
Timetables will be able to view in KentVision approximately two weeks prior to exams at the end of each term.
