Self-catered spring vacation accommodation 2026

If you live in Becket Court or Keynes College (Blocks F, G, H, and I) and wish to stay on campus over the break, you’ll need to book vacation accommodation online by 13 March 2026.

Spring vacation accommodation availability:

Darwin College: £483 - Shared facilities 
Woolf College: £756 - En-suite

When booking, please include your term-time accommodation (hall of residence and room number) in the address section, along with your student ID number.

Please note that accommodation is subject to availability, and all fees are payable in full at the time of booking by debit or credit card. 

Bookings cover accommodation only and do not include a meal package.

Booking details:

  • Spring accommodation is available from Saturday 21 March 2026 to Saturday 11 April 2026.
  • Accommodation is for the full 21 nights, and partial bookings are not accepted. 
  • When booking, please provide your name exactly as it appears on your Kent One card, along with your Kent email address.

Additional Information:

  • Catering is not provided for vacation accommodation.
  • You will have access to a full kitchen, though cooking equipment is not provided.
  • Please bring your own bed linen and towels.

Key collection and return:

  • You can collect your spring accommodation room key from the local accommodation reception from 14:00 on Friday 20 March 2026.
  • Return your term-time accommodation key to your current college reception by 10:00 on Saturday 21 March 2026.
  • Check out from your spring vacation accommodation by 10:00 on Saturday 11 April 2026 and return the key, and re-collect your term-time accommodation key from your college reception.

Further information will be sent to you from the Conference Office after booking.

Exam Accommodation

We're offering en-suite exam accommodation on the Canterbury campus from Saturday 15 March to Saturday 21 March 2026 

Bookings can be made for a period of 1 - 6 nights.

Cost and booking

Rooms cost £48.00 per night. Please note the last bookable night is Friday 20 March 2026 and this offer is only available for this particular week.

Services and facilities 

  • Bed linen, towels and basic kitchen equipment are provided to help you settle in comfortably
  • We kindly ask guests to clean the kitchen after use so it stays pleasant for everyone
  • Please dispose of rubbish in the main bins located outside the block
  • Housekeeping services are not included during your stay
  • If you need fresh towels, you can exchange them at Tyler Court reception during opening hours
  • Don’t forget to bring your student ID card with you when checking in at reception.

Year in Industry/placement accommodation

Accommodation for Non-University of Kent Students  

If you are a current student (aged 18 or over) undertaking a work placement or year in industry in Canterbury or Medway, you may be eligible to stay in University of Kent accommodation.

What we offer

Location: Self-catered, en-suite accommodation in a shared flat 

Flexibility: Contracts can align with standard student term dates, but we can offer flexible start and end dates on request (subject to availability).

  • 38-week or 52-week contracts at £36 per night
  • Shorter contracts available on request (minimum stay 4 weeks)
  • Contracts shorter than 38 weeks will be charged at £38 per night.

Facilities:

  • A range of Canterbury campus catering outlets 
  • On-site laundry facilities (pay as you go)
  • Accommodation reception services 
  • On-site maintenance and security 

Costs and payments

  • Rent is charged at a nightly rate
  • Payment terms (e.g. termly instalments or full payment upfront) will be confirmed at the time of booking.
