Global Learning Opportunities

A framework to develop your global skills, citizenship and cultural awareness.

We offer a wealth of global learning opportunities for all students at Kent with academic, co-curricular and social events throughout the year. Whatever your study level and course, we offer opportunities to develop your global citizenship, cultural intelligence and intercultural competencies.

Why is Global Learning important?

Global Learning is linked to Global Citizenship, developing students to be open-minded, bring a sense of identity and community, respectful of diverse perspectives.  Students gain the skills, knowledge, behaviours and attitudes to work collaboratively and in cross-cultural contexts.

Global Learning takes place through a variety of experiences and global opportunities during your time at Kent.  We've organised these into three categories to help you find what works for you: Study, Get Involved and Have Fun.  You can then reflect and assess your cultural intelligence through our Kent Global Passport.

Have fun: our social opportunities

Make the most of our diverse communities on campus. Discover other cultures while having fun with our range of social events and activities, including getting involved with our WorldFest Cultural Celebration Weeks.

Kent Global Passport

The Kent Global Passport (KGP) is designed as a tool for you to reflect on your Global Learning and assess your Cultural Intelligence (CQ).

CQ is a multi-functional and transferable skill that you can take with you anywhere! You also earn Employability points while completing your KGP.
