Come along to our Global Hangouts, where you'll meet other students from across the University, learn about Kent societies, and enjoy interactive and creative activities.

Global Hangouts are free to attend and open to all University of Kent students. 

Our 2024/25 Hangouts are: 

  • Welcome Week Global Hangout in Canterbury Wed 18th Sept 12-4pm, Darwin Conference Suite, Canterbury
  • Medway Global Hangout, Thu 10th Oct 12-3pm, Oasis Lounge, Medway Building
  • Autumn Global Hangout Fri 1st Nov 12-2pm, Colyer Ferguson Foyer, Canterbury
  • Winter Global Hangout Tue 3rd Dec 12-2pm, Colyer Ferguson Foyer, Canterbury

World Cafe at Medway

The Medway World Cafe is open to ALL students at the Medway Campus. This is a great place to relax away from your studies, meet and make new friends, play games, and enjoy free refreshments. 

Student Centre circulation area, Blake building, Wednesdays, 12-2pm

TABLEtalk

A place of community and belonging. A social, fun, interactive discussion night. The perfect opportunity to make new friends, improve your English language skills, learn about British culture, and enhance your cross-cultural understanding. 

Oasis Lounge, Rochester Building, Medway campus, Thursday evenings, 7.30-9.30pm.
