IT Equipment and Tech for Students

IT Equipment & Tech for Students

Providing technology to help you succeed in your studies

Student laptop loans

If you don’t have a laptop with you, you can borrow one for up to 12 hours to support your study across campus.

How it works

  • Use your KentOne card to borrow a laptop from one of the self-service cabinets in the Templeman Library.
  • Some laptops are for campus-wide use (from the Library Café cabinets), and others are for library use only (cabinets on Floor 2, Block C).
  • Chargers and laptop bags are available from the Welcome Desk if you’re using it outside the library.

What you can do with a loan laptop

  • Access the internet, email and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Print to campus printers (you may need to log in to Web Print or install the printer first).

Conditions of use

Please follow our laptop loans conditions of use when using them. Please remember:

  • You must return the laptop at the end of the 12 hour loan period.
  • We will charge you the replacement cost of the laptop (and charger if borrowed) if it is lost, damaged or not returned.
