Careers and Employability Service

We provide the advice, workshops and tools to prepare Kent students and graduates for employment and further study.

From 29 June to 31 July 2026 you can find Careers at the Nexus Desk (Templeman Library: Ground floor, D Block), whilst work is undertaken on Rutherford Extension.

Kent Employability Promise

Kent’s Employability Promise ensures you are graduate career-ready. All students starting from academic year 2026/27 are guaranteed that:

  • Every undergraduate and postgraduate taught student are guaranteed a work-based internship or equivalent work experience opportunity.
  • Every undergraduate students will have the option for a year in industry, year abroad, or a Year-In another subject
  • Every undergraduate programme will provide at least 100 hours of structured, industry-informed learning and employability-related activity across the student journey.

You’ll gain real experience, industry insight and professional connections before you graduate.
