Kent IT Account

Overview

All students are provided with a University of Kent IT Account which gives you access to a wide range of digital services.

Your password

If you change your password, you'll need to update your phone/tablet/laptop Wi-Fi and email settings.

Your username

To log into most Kent services, append your username with: @kent.ac.uk

For example, for username abc1 you would enter: abc1@kent.ac.uk

If that doesn't work try these formats:

  • abc1
  • ukc\abc1

Problems logging in

Check you're entering your password correctly:

  • Is the CAPS LOCK key on or off?
  • Does your keyboard enter the expected characters if you type text in a document?

Check your username: the required username format for different services varies. It could be:

  • username@kent.ac.uk
  • ukc\username
  • username

If none of the above works, contact us explaining the steps you've tried.

Not got your IT Account yet?

Students: you need to activate your Kent IT Account before you can use it: only do this if you're new and have not set your password yet.

If you're still applying for a place at Kent report login issues in KentVision.
