Enhance: The Work Experience Development Programme

Enhance

The Work Experience Development Programme for students in the Schools of Psychology and Economics and Politics & International Relations.

What does Enhance involve?

The Enhance programme lasts for one term and offers:

  • 1-1 appointments with an experienced Employability Adviser.
  • Small-group workshops designed to meet the needs of each cohort.
  • Practice interview opportunities.
  • Reflection activities.
  • Individual feedback on applications for work experience.

We hope that all students on the programme will apply to at least one work opportunity, and that the majority of these applications will be successful.

Unfortunately, however, we cannot guarantee that everyone will get work experience.

The programme concludes with the Digital Project Showcase – an opportunity for all participants to share text/images/video summarising what they gained from taking part.

Who can apply?

Each programme is aimed at a different cohort within the Schools of Psychology and Economics and Politics and International Relations:

  • The Autumn programme is for second-year undergraduate students.
  • The Spring programme is for first-year undergraduate students.
  • The Summer programme is for postgraduate students.

It is primarily aimed at students who have not completed any work experience before, but those with some prior work experience can still apply.

Priority will be given to students who belong to the Empower cohort.

How do I apply?

The application process involves completing a short online form asking for your motivations and goals. You can apply for the Autumn 2025 programme here
