Open to students from underrepresented and marginalised groups* (most commonly those who were in receipt of free school meals, or are first in their family to attend university, and disabled students), offering:


  • A chance to reflect on your skills and identify ways to strengthen these
  • Access to personalised support in areas such as disability and finding inclusive employment
  • Personalised support, tailored to your needs


*University of Kent (Home) students who are classified as TUNDRA Quintile 1.

    Empower Bursary

    Eligible students can apply for up to £200 to fund a skills development course, travel costs for attending in-person interviews, assessment centres, unpaid work or volunteering.
