The Empower team are a friendly duo dedicated to equipping students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace.
Hannah is a Kent graduate and Canterbury local, passionate about encouraging everyone to bring their whole selves to work through confidence building. Co-Chair of the Staff Disability Network, Hannah specialises in supporting and advocating for disabled people, as well as other underrepresented groups.
A crazy cat person, Hannah is never happier than when she is looking at/talking about/thinking about cats! Hannah is a massive geek and enjoys tabletop and video games, live music (on YouTube – my muscles don’t often let me go in person these days!) and laughter.
With nearly 20 years' experience in training, supporting and managing students and volunteers, Hannah is keen to help you with your employability journey.
Melissa is a Kent native, but graduated from King’s College London. Melissa is driven by the desire to help others and to help students with their confidence and building their employability skills.
With nearly two decades of experience in recruitment, development, and talent management within large corporations, Melissa's expertise also spans engineering, energy, telecommunications, and the legal sector. She has designed Graduate Schemes at Vodafone and EDF Energy, including assessment processes and coaching young professionals.
Aside from that Melissa loves a laugh – and needs it! Melissa has two young sons, chickens, guinea pigs and a crazy dog, not forgetting her husband, too!
