JISC negotiations ACS have now concluded following the final consultation in April 2025. Library Services consulted with the School of Natural Sciences to understand whether the School wished to use School funds to subscribe to the ASC Read and Publish deal.
It was agreed that we would subscribe to the new ACS R&P agreement for 2025-27 and to work towards reviewing and potentially withdrawing from the agreement for the second year of the deal.
The American Chemical Society journals are useful to students and researchers. This collection provides full text access to 65 journal titles along with archive issues. All titles can be cross-searched in the one place. The deal also provides unlimited open access for University of Kent corresponding authors publishing in all ACS journals.
