My Skills Coach is an employability programme run by the Careers and Employability Service that helps you enhance your skillset whilst you study.
What does My Skills Coach involve?
Employability Points Allocation
· Initial Skills Review completed - 20 Employability Points
· Subsequent My Skills Coach meetings - 5 Employability Points
· Final completion of the Skills Review - 30 Employability Points

Clearly putting across your message and the ability to listen to others through verbal and nonverbal means.
Skills for effective communication, relationship-building, conflict resolution and achieving team goals through interaction.
Your ability to use digital devices and applications to access and manage information.
The use of information, experience, observation and reasoning to effectively guide decisions, actions and beliefs.
Being an active citizen, thriving in diverse environments and embracing multicultural experiences and international perspectives to enhance your ways of thinking.
The ability to motivate, guide and support others to achieve goals, manage conflicts, and solve problems effectively.
Understanding an industry's workings, market position, competitors and staying informed on current developments in the field.

The Careers and Employability Service offers regular workshops and events to help you enhance your skills, providing a great opportunity to act on your action plan after your My Skills Coach session.
