What is 'My Skills Coach'?

My Skills Coach is an employability programme run by the Careers and Employability Service that helps you enhance your skillset whilst you study. 

What does My Skills Coach involve?

  • Personalised Guidance: Work one-to-one level with a dedicated Adviser who will help you assess your current skills and identify areas for growth. ​
  • Step-by-Step Development: Follow a structured action plan tailored to your career goals. Ensuring you build the skills employers are looking for. ​
  • Assess your progress: Check in with your Adviser to stay accountable with your action plan and celebrate your successes. 

Employability Points Allocation

·         Initial Skills Review completed - 20 Employability Points

·         Subsequent My Skills Coach meetings - 5 Employability Points

·         Final completion of the Skills Review - 30 Employability Points
