Undergraduate Resit Fund (Summer 2026)
The main purpose of the Undergraduate Resit Fund is to ensure that students are not prevented from attending their resits during the Summer Vacation in 2026 due to financial difficulties with paying their resit fees and associated costs such as travel and accommodation. The aim of this fund is to enable students to successfully continue with or complete their studies.
Funds are limited and should not be considered as a source of income. Applications are assessed according to the criteria set out below. All awards are at the discretion of the University.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the fund, you must be:
- A fully registered Undergraduate student at the University of Kent.
- A student being charged tuition fees at the UK ‘home’, EU or Overseas rate.
- Resitting for the 2025 / 2026 academic year during the Summer Vacation in 2026.
- In financial difficulty that may prevent you from attending their resits. Evidence and a personal statement is required to support this.
You must complete all sections of the application. We do not consider incomplete applications. To avoid delays, please check you have answered all questions and included ALL required evidence.
Evidence - Bank statements
Students will need to provide evidence of bank transactions for ALL bank accounts held in their name for the month immediately prior to your application.
The Blackbullion platform includes the option to use Open Banking. This enables the last months bank statements to be uploaded automatically. Choosing this option for ALL bank accounts held in your name takes less time, ensures you are providing the correct evidence, and can reduce processing time. Alternatively, you will be able to select to upload statement documents manually. Please note screen shots will not be accepted.
Awards
Successful applications will be awarded a payment up to £500.
Only 1 application can be made to the Undergraduate Resit Fund in the Summer Vacation 2026.
Awards from the Undergraduate Resit Fund DO NOT need to be repaid.
Appeals
The outcome of the assessment can be appealed to the Financial Hardship Manager or if they completed the assessment the Assistant Director (Student Support).
