What is ISAB?

The International Student Advisory Board (ISAB) works in partnership with Kent Students’ Union to ensure the needs, experiences, and voices of our international students are represented across the University.

Whether you’re a new arrival or a returning student, ISAB gives you the opportunity to influence real change, from improving university policies to supporting international events that celebrate our global community.

What You’ll Do

As a member of ISAB, you’ll:

  • Help shape the inclusivity and accessibility of services and policies at both the University and Kent Union
  • Provide feedback, contribute to campaigns, and share ideas for positive change
  • Support international-focused events like Welcome Week, Cultural Celebration Week, and International Education Week

What You’ll Gain

Your voice matters, and your contributions are valued. By joining ISAB, you’ll:

  • Earn Employability Points for your involvement
  • Develop key skills in leadership, negotiation, and communication
  • Gain confidence working collaboratively with diverse perspectives
  • Make a lasting impact on the international student experience
  • Receive £20 compensation for each 2-hour meeting you actively participate in on your Kent card
