There are two types of rewards you can apply for. Both are work based and you need 200 points to apply for them.
Paid Internships
You can undertake a 4-12 week paid internship.
Insight Programme
A two-week unpaid work experience placement or work shadowing opportunity.
How to get Rewarded
The process to get rewarded is:
A week before the start of each application period, the team will send out the list of rewards.
Applications will open on the 10th November 2025, 16th February 2026 and 27th April 2026.
You will have two weeks to apply for rewards via CareersHub.
The application deadlines are: 23rd November 2025, 1st March 2026 and 10th May 2026.
We will take a week to shortlist and you will be invited to interview in the two weeks after shortlisting (1st-12th December 2025, 9th-20th March 2026 & 18th-29th May 2026).
You will then be informed informed of the outcome of your interview and, if successful, be put in direct contact with the employer to discuss details of the reward.
The Rules:
Students must have sufficient points to apply for rewards.
The University of Kent and the Employability Points team accept no responsibility for the cancellation of placements due to sponsor commitments, but the EP team will try and find an alternative opportunity where available.
If you are an international student, it is your responsibility to check your ability to work in the UK in accordance with your visa.
Students can roll-over points rather than redeem these for rewards.
Rewards are not guaranteed, although the EP team will attempt to ensure all students are rewarded.
