Other libraries: requesting items from the Templeman Library

We will accept requests from other libraries for loans or photocopies of our material.

What you can request from us

You can request books, book chapters and articles from us.

We can't lend to other institutions:

  • multimedia and high demand items
  • confined items
  • Special Collections and Archives material
  • whole volumes or issues of journals
  • PhD theses: apply to EThOS, (availability of this service has been impacted by the British Library cyber incident)
  • dissertations (but we may be able to make a copy)

UK and Republic of Ireland

Photocopy requests must comply with current copyright regulations and be of a non-commercial nature. (Commercial copies should be obtained from the British Library Document Supply Centre).

Charges:

Book Loans: £24.72

Print and digital scans/copies: £19.57  

Charges will be claimed through your British Library Account. Please apply giving your British Library Account number and quoting a request reference.

Institutions outside the UK and Ireland

Photocopy requests must comply with current UK copyright regulations and be of a non-commercial nature (as above).

We prefer payment by IFLA voucher. Please ask us for a quote.

Conditions of loan

  • All loans are subject to recall
  • Items are loaned for up to 8 weeks
  • Loans can be renewed (maximum 3 renewals allowed)
