Kent's 3MT competition

The 3MT was developed by The University of Queensland (UQ) and challenges researchers to consolidate their ideas and research discoveries and present them to a non-specialist audience in under 3 minutes. To participate you need to be an active PhD or Professional Doctorate (Research) candidate who has passed your probation review, and not had your viva by the date of your first presentation. The 3MT will help you to:

• Develop your research communication, public engagement, presentation and public speaking skills
  
• Give you the ability to share your research with a non-expert audience
• Provide networking opportunities 
• Help you to reflect on the context and impact of your research

Prizes

The winner will receive £300 and the runner-up will be awarded £100, both to use towards training and development or their research.
