Premium Plus membership
As a University of Kent student, you'll automatically be given a FREE Premium Plus membership for the 2025/26 academic year if you are:
- A first-year undergraduate student at the University of Kent studying at the Canterbury or Medway campus
- An undergraduate or postgraduate student (any study year) living in Canterbury campus accommodation
- An undergraduate or postgraduate student living in Pier Quays in Medway (booked directly through the University of Kent Accommodation team)

The important bit
With your free Kent Sport membership, you must first create your online account before you can book your classes, social sports, and recreational activities,
This is easy to do. All you need is to set your Kent email address and a strong password, and you're ready to go.

Fitness and dance classes
You'll never tire for something to do with over 70 classes each week during term time. Try something new and find your newest passion!
Discounted services
Personal Training, fitness assessments, physiotherapy, and sports massage all at a reduced rate for members.
Student Sports Clubs
There's more than 50 student sports clubs on campus and your membership gives you access to the training sessions.
You may need to buy a student club membership to take part.
Social sports
New to sports? No problem. Our social ALL Active programme is open to all students, regardless of your experience level. And we'll provide the equipment.
Extensive gym
We have the equipment for most exercises, and our staff are on hand to provide advice and guidance whenever you need it.
We also offer women and non-binary only sessions every week.

Frequently Asked Questions
Free Kent Sport Premium Plus membership is offered to:
- All first-year undergraduate students at the University of Kent
- All undergraduate and postgraduate students living in Canterbury campus accommodation, including KMMS students
- All first-year students commuting from Pier Quays in Medway to Canterbury campus for teaching
- Medway students who booked their Pier Quays room through the University of Kent.
In order to book recreational sports and activities, fitness and dance classes, ALL Active social sessions, and appointments at the Kent Sports Clinic, you will need to create a new online booking account.

You can use the gym at any point within our advertised opening hours. Bookings for the gym are not required.
Eligible students will have Kent Sport membership automatically loaded onto their Kent One cards (student ID). Your membership will activate soon after you arrive.
If you have any problems with your membership, please speak to a receptionist at the Sports Centre or The Pavilion. Alternatively, email memberships@kent.ac.uk.
Kent Sport Premium Plus membership is for the Canterbury campus only, and does not include access to Medway Park facilities.
If you live on campus in accommodation booked through the University, you are eligible for free Kent Sport Premium Plus membership. This applies to undergraduate and postgraduate students for any year of study. This will be automatically added to your Kent One card (student ID).
If you're an undergraduate student at our Medway campus or if you live in accommodation on the Medway campus booked through the University Accommodation team (not through Unite), then you are also entitled to free Kent Sport membership on the Canterbury campus.
