Turn your student life into content – and get rewarded!

We’re looking for University of Kent students to create short, authentic content about their course and student life. If you enjoy making content and want to showcase what it’s really like to study here, this is your chance to get involved. Selected creators will receive a £50 Amazon voucher for approved content – no professional experience needed.

What are we looking for?

We’re especially interested in content that shows your area of study in action, but we also welcome content about wider student life at Kent.

You can choose to create one short piece of content from the following, but we’d love to hear your ideas too:

Day in the life...

Give a snapshot of what a typical day looks like for you as a Kent student. For example:

  • A realistic timeline of your day (lectures, study time, breaks, social life)
  • What you actually do in a day on your course
  • Balancing uni work, part-time jobs, and downtime
  • Behind-the-scenes moments (commuting, coffee runs, library sessions, societies)
  • What a busy day vs a lighter day looks like.

Project or coursework breakdown

Show a real piece of work you’ve completed and explain it to a prospective student. That could be:

  • A project from start to finish (brief, process, outcome)
  • A portfolio piece and the skills behind it
  • How you approached an essay or assignment
  • Your role in a group project and what you contributed
  • Skills and practical work in action.

How you apply what you learn in your subject

For example:

  • Using lab equipment, studio tools, or specialist software
  • A step-by-step look at how you solve a subject-related task
  • What a seminar, workshop, or practical session involves
  • Turning theory into practice in your course
  • 5 things I’ve learnt.

Key takeaways from your course so far

Such as:

  • 5 skills you’ve gained in your subject
  • 5 concepts that changed how you think about your field
  • 5 things you didn’t expect about your course
  • 5 tools or techniques you now use regularly.

Facilities and learning spaces

Show where you study and how you use university spaces. Some examples:

  • Labs, studios, workshops, or specialist facilities in action
  • A typical session in your subject space
  • How facilities and resources support your learning.

What will you get?

Selected students will receive:

A £50 Amazon voucher for approved content.

The chance to feature on official University of Kent social media channels, website and other marketing.

Experience creating real student-facing content.

How can you apply?

Applying is really simple; all you need to do is complete the below form. To give you a heads up, it asks:

  • Your name, what year you’re in and what you study
  • To share a piece of content you’ve created and are proud of
  • What types of content would you like to create
  • Confirm consent for use of your content
  • It will also ask if you’d like to be notified about upcoming Student Content Creator roles.

The deadline for applications is 7th May 2026.

Please note that spaces are limited, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we recommend applying early.
