Summer Term 13 Apr to 19 Jun ExamsFinalists 8-12 Jun All other stages 15-19 Jun
Late Summer term (Postgraduate only) 6 Jul to 11 Sep 2026
What's changing and why?
We're modernising the way students learn at Kent from September 2025, responding to lots of student feedback, so next year:
Be ready to plan
With timetables communicated well before the start of term, so you can balance your studies with work and other commitments.
Teaching throughout the academic year
Spread over 3 teaching terms for undergraduates and 4 for postgraduates, typically with two modules per term, so you can explore topics in depth
Assessments within each term
So you're tested on what you've just learned, not everything at once at the end of the year
Meaningful assessments
Empowering you to demonstrate and develop skills and knowledge that you will need in your future career
Frequent, ongoing feedback
Helping you build on your knowledge as you learn
Enhanced employability skills
Learning about real world connections and career-relevant knowledge and skills
Quotation
There are loads of ways to tell us what you think and feed into plans as we continue to develop the student experience at the University of Kent. Make sure your voice is heard!"
It is quick and easy to give feedback and you can help make a positive change for all students.
